FAQ

How do I create a countdown?

Tap "+" on the main screen. Enter a title, select a date, category, and color. Optionally add a photo. Tap "Create".

How does iCloud sync work?

If signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive enabled, DayDot syncs automatically. No setup required. Sync only occurs when the app is open.

Events not syncing?

Check: (1) Same Apple Account on both devices, (2) iCloud Drive enabled, (3) DayDot has iCloud permission, (4) Internet connection, (5) Open app on both devices.

Not receiving notifications?

Check: (1) DayDot Settings > Notifications enabled, (2) iOS Settings > DayDot > Notifications allowed, (3) Event's notify toggle is on, (4) Event date is in the future, (5) Not in Do Not Disturb mode.

How do I add a widget?

Long-press home screen > tap "+" > search "DayDot". Two types: "Countdown" (nearest event) and "Single Event" (choose which to display).

What happens to past events?

By default they count up ("X days since..."). Toggle "Stop counting" in the event to archive it.

Is my data private?

Yes. No analytics, tracking, or data collection. Everything stays on your device and in your personal iCloud. See our Privacy Policy.

iOS 17.0 or later.
