Simple LogBook is a pilot flight logbook app for iOS that helps you record and track your flights, aircraft, and FAA currency requirements. By downloading or using Simple LogBook, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Simple LogBook is licensed to you under the Standard Apple End User License Agreement (link). These Terms of Use supplement that agreement. In the event of a conflict, Apple's EULA prevails.
Simple LogBook does not provide aviation advice, regulatory guidance, or legal counsel. Flight currency calculations are provided for informational convenience only and should not be used as the sole basis for determining flight eligibility. Always consult the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and a qualified flight instructor or aviation attorney for regulatory compliance.
Simple LogBook offers a free tier and a one-time "Pro" upgrade ($9.99 USD, non-consumable). The free tier allows up to 20 flights and 1 aircraft with basic logbook fields. The Pro upgrade unlocks unlimited flights, unlimited aircraft, all FAA logbook fields, currency tracking, statistics, PDF/CSV export, and iCloud sync. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. You can restore previous purchases at any time from the Settings screen.
You retain full ownership of all data you create in Simple LogBook, including flight records, aircraft profiles, and notes. We do not access, use, or claim any rights to your content.
If you enable iCloud, your data syncs across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This service is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from iCloud service interruptions or account issues.
SIMPLE LOGBOOK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. CURRENCY CALCULATIONS AND FLIGHT TIME COMPUTATIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENCE AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MACLARENS STUDIO BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF SIMPLE LOGBOOK, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
